|The all-new Mazda3 Hatchback has arrived on the global scene at five selected scenic city locations. The new Mazda3 hatchback debut simultaneously in five major cities of the world: London, Istanbul, St. Petersburg, Melbourne and New York.|
Mazda’s latest compact now into its 3rd-generation is the third variant to imbue the KODO – Soul of Motion design theme and SKYACTIV Technology, after the hugely popular Compact SUV CX-5 and the flagship Mazda6. The new Mazda3’s SKYACTIV Technology elements include lightweight engines, transmissions, body and chassis.
Carrying upbeat refinements from the previous generations, the new Mazda3 although looks quite similar to the Mazda6 has its own unique personifications. The new Mazda3’s front fascia features the unmistakable 5-point grille, while the side and the rear are close semblance to the current Mazda mid-sized sedan. Regardless, the new Mazda3 is cut out to provide dynamic performance, nimble responsiveness and reliability at a fair price.
This week, the Mazda3 variant observes its tenth anniversary, having contributed 1/3 of Mazda’s global sales. Already the target of well over 130 awards since first launched in 2003, Mazda was looking to again raise the bar for this key passenger car segment. In addition to KODO styling, the new Mazda3 features an interior that was completely redesigned for maximum comfort and superb usability. The company even offers an in-vehicle connectivity concept for its new variant. Featuring AhaTM radio, among other things, it’s one of the first cars in the C segment to take occupants online.
The new Mazda3 is also the latest model developed according to Sustainable Zoom-Zoom, Mazda’s strategy to build fuel-efficient and safe cars that are still remarkably fun to drive. It is therefore available with i-stop, the world’s fastest idle-stop system, and i-ELOOP, Mazda’s brake energy regeneration system. Performance, meanwhile, is impressive thanks to the all-new engines and transmissions.
The new Mazda3 is slated to go on sale in the autumn. Further details of the Mazda3 will be available in due time.
