BMW get royal flush at DTM Oschersleben, coutersy of Blomqvist and Glock

 2015 DTM Oschersleben Tom Blomqvist wins race 2 The DTM returned back to familiar territory over the weekend at the Oschersleben for Rounds 13 and 14. BMW drivers rookie Tom Blomqvist and Timo Glock took wins in race 2 and 1, topping main rivals from the Mercedes and Audi camps.

DTM teams complete first pre-season test at the Algarve track

 2015 DTM test BMW M4 DTM Antonio Felix da Costa With the 2015 DTM season less than 2 months away, DTM Teams participated in the first DTM test which kicked off at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve track in Portimão, Portugal earlier this week. Audi Sport, Mercedes-AMG and BMW Motorsport spent three days at the Portuguese track to find tune their respective machines and gather important data in preparation for the new season.

DTM Rookie Maxime Martin achieves first ever victory at Moscow Raceway

   As the world prepares for the FIFA World Cup Finals between Deutschland and Argentina today, the DTM
(Deutschen Tourenwagen Masters) Round 5 at the Moscow Raceway was quickly concluded with rookie Maxime Martin on top of the race results. Martin secured victory at the raceway, ahead of team mate Bruno Spengler, after 46 laps of exciting racing. In the exciting closing stages of the race, Audi’s Mattias Ekström claimed third place less than a tenth from Drivers’ standings leader Marco Wittmann who was fourth, followed by Audi’s Nico Müller and BMW’s Timo Glock, with the two Mercedes drivers Christian Vietoris and Pascal Wehrlein, seventh and eighth.

Wittman opens new DTM season with first ever victory at Hockenheim

  The DTM (Deutschen Tourenwagen Masters) season opener at Hockenheim saw BMW driver Marco Wittman score his first ever win in his 11th DTM start. Wittman’s victory was also Team RMG BMW’s 1st win and 60th DTM win for the Munich-based squad. Wittman secured the win on Sunday over the two Audi RS 5 DTMs of Mattias Ekstrom and Adrien Tambay. Prior to raceday, Tambay had captured his very first pole position. In all, six BMW M4 DTMs and four Audi RS 5 DTMs finished the race in the points. Mercedes-Benz’s best finisher was Pascal Wehrlein in eleventh, clearly depicting one of the worst season-opening races for the Three-point Star squads. (click, enlarge)

Audi RS DTMs dominate first DTM test at Budapest

  The DTM’s (Deutschen Tourenwagen Masters) first official ITR Test kicked off at the Hungaroring, Budapest. A total of 11 drivers representing Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz began the 4-day ITR test in their respective RS 5 DTMs, M4 DTMs and AMG C-Coupés. After the first day, the Audis, led by Miguel Molina, topped the time sheets followed by BMWs and Mercedes. The test session was cut short by two hours due to track works, but longer sessions would be implemented for the next two days. (click to enlarge)
