Back-to-Back win for Dovizioso at MotoGP Catalunya

  The MotoGP Catalan Grand Prix saw Andrea Dovizioso win a back-to-back race, following an intense final stint with the Repsol Honda of Marc Marquez. For Dovisiozo, he now stands just seven points away from the lead of the Riders’ standings behind Maverick Vinales, who ended up tenth. Marquez and Pedrosa made it the third double-podium finish this season for Repsol Honda.

Revised Circuit de Catalunya announced for 2017 MotoGP season

 2016 MotoGP Brno start of race Following the tragic crash of Moto2’s Luis Salom at the Circuit de Catalunya, MotoGP organizers recently called for changes to the Catalan track layout. The permanent changes are to be applied to the layout of the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya for MotoGP. The new layout has a slightly shorter track length of 4652m, with work set to take place in January.

Lorenzo led the fast-paced race from start to finish, ahead of team mate Valentino Rossi and Repsol Honda’s Dani Pedrosa. Lorenzo and Rossi combined for the team’s fourth straight podium finish of the season.

Stoner pips Lorenzo for pole in qualifying for MotoGP Spanish Catalan race
