F1 takes a break after eight races in 11 weekends; the F1 fraternity now has two weekends off before the season resumes with the inaugural Turkish Grand Prix on August 21 in Istanbul. With the exception of a three-day test in Monza, Italy, no private on-track testing is allowed from mid-July through the month of August so that team members can spend more time with their families. All of the teams except Ferrari have agreed to the testing break.

Good Response From F1 Drivers, Teams To Charity Auction

Formula One drivers and teams have given strong support to Sepang International Circuit’s (SIC) charity auction of F1 memorabilia, which will be held at the 2005 Petronas Malaysian Grand Prix Ice Gala to raise fund for Tsunami victims.

While the Ferrari team has agreed to donate its V10 engine for auctioning, drivers Michael Schumacher and Rubens Barrichello have also donated their 2003 racing suits.
