Vinales tops MotoGP Test at Jerez

  After a challenging outing on Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix in Jerez, Yamaha MotoGP Team returned to the Circuito de Jerez for a two-day official MotoGP test, which concluded yesterday. Maverick Viñales and Valentino Rossi spent the extra track time usefully, improving their YZR-M1s settings and assembling useful data for the rest of the season. The duo finished in first and twenty-first place respectively in the session times.

Marquez tops Lorenzo at MotoGP one-off test in jerez

2016 MotoGP Jerez test Marc Marquez MotoGP crews remained at Jerez de la Frontera after the weekend’s race for a one-day test, on Monday. At the end of the day, Marc Marquez topped rival Jorge Lorenzo and Suzuki’s Maverick Vinales, following the one-off test session. Yamaha riders, who secured a terrific 1 – 2 at the Spanish Grand Prix, were second and fourth, courtesy of Lorenzo and GP winner Valentino Rossi.

Pre-season test at Jerez offers a glimpse of new F1 era

  Formula One’s pre-season test at the Jerez de la Frontera Circuit yielded mixed results for the participating Teams. The purpose was obviously for the teams to get the hang of their new cars that conform to the new season’s regulations. The teams combined for a total of 2,116.584 kilometers in the four-day session. Ex-Ferrari driver Felipe Massa topped the final day’s wet session in his Williams FW36 with 1:28.229, followed by Fernando Alonso and Daniel Juncadella. (Click to enlarge)

Caterham F1 continues to target first points with its CT05
