Citroen WRT announce 2018 WRC line-up; Loeb returns

  At the final weeks of the year, Citroen World Rally Team have announced its 2018 WRC (World Rally Championship) line-up which will feature Kris Meeke, Craig Breen and Khalid Al Qassimi, and the return 9-time Champion Sebastien Loeb at selected rallies. Fourth driver Stéphane Lefebvre will be tasked with driving the Citroën C3 R5 on its debut season in the WRC2. Loeb will contest in events at the Rally Mexico, Corsica and Catalonia.

  Current Peugeot Dakar Rally driver and 9-time WRC Champion Sebastien Loeb is back on the saddle of a Peugeot race car; this time it was in a 208 WRX competing in the World Rallycross event at Montalegre, Portugal (Round 2 of the Championship). Loeb takes 2017 Dakar Rally penultimate stage to set up exciting finale

  Stage 11 of the 2017 Dakar Rally marked the penultimate stage of these Dakar as the crews tackled the short course, prior to Sunday’s final run from Rio Cuarto ro Buenos Aires. There were some nervous moments for the race leaders on the penultimate stage, but the summit of the leaderboards across all four categories stays unchanged after Stage 11, particularly for the car category.

Loeb takes 3rd win at 2017 Dakar Rally; Stage 9 cancelled

  The second half of the 2017 Dakar Rally has started with the marathon stage; stage 8 of the Desert race. When the time came to hit the road bright and early in the morning the racers and their machines were then pushed to the absolute limit. The stage was shortened by 73 kilometers due to bad weather.

Loeb grabs 2nd Stage win at 2017 Dakar Rally

  Sebastien Loeb took the win on day five of the 2017 Dakar Rally, his second at this year’s edition. The fifth stage of the Dakar rally saw competitors deal with bad weather on the 447-kilometer route. Having navigated the first part of the timed stage, the competitors did not start the second portion after the neutralized zone with the tracks no longer said to be negotiable on the way to Oruro.

Loeb and Team Peugeot continue onslaught at 2016 Dakar Rally

2016 Dakar Rally Sebastien Loeb continues lead After a one-two yesterday, Team Peugeot continue their onslaught for the overall Dakar Rally title courtesy of another one-two finish by Sebastien Loeb and Carlos Sainz. Another day, another Dakar Rally stage victory for the nine-time WRC winner and his long-time sidekick Daniel Elena. Sainz made a brilliant recovery to finish second just 1:23 behind Loeb, having started the stage from 14th place. All four Peugeot 2008 DKRs were in the top 10 stage times, with Stéphane Peterhansel classified sixth and Cyril Despres 10th.
