The Red Bull Rookies is preparing to shift into high gear for the upcoming 2nd edition of SEPANG 1000KM race with two new additions from the country of Brunei.

After an intensive month-long Red Bull Female Drive Search campaign and three gruelling days of driver selection held in Brunei, Noradzlianayati Abdul Radzak and Melline Jaini were chosen to join the Malaysian Rookies, Puteri Ayu Jasmin, Carmen Lim and Lee Hui Jing.

Abdul Radzak and Jaini , the two selected Bruneians impressed the panel of judges throughout the selection process by their driving skills and their personality. These two Brunei lasses will be scheduled to join their Malaysian counterparts to further undergo intensive professional race driver training to get themselves in optimal condition for the upcoming SEPANG 1000KM race, a spin off of domestic endurance race, the Merdeka Millenium Endurance (MME).

Abdul Razak commented, "“I am ecstatic and I cannot believe that I have been chosen to join the Red Bull Rookies team and represent my country Brunei. This is a wonderful opportunity for me to showcase my ability on the international track.”

From now till June, all five Red Bull Rookies team members will commence their intensive training sessions with skilled trainers from Asia Advanced Driving Academy (AADA) at the Sepang International Circuit.

The Red Bull Rookies have consistently made an impact at Sepang for the past couple of years in a predominantly male dominated arena.

This year’s 1000KM race will be a showdown between Malaysia and Brunei and the rest of the grid.  Jasmin leads the charge for the Malaysian Red Bull Rookies, while the other rookies Lim and Lee are on hand to fight for 1000KM glory as well.
