Mallala Motor Sport Park will be transformed into a battleground for some of Australia’s best Drifters when the Drift Supercup takes place on 17-18 April.

After the success of the inaugural event last year – where some 4,000 spectators watched over 60 Drifters battle it out for record prize money – the organisers have decided to do it again.

Held over two days, the 2010 Drift Supercup will feature two separate Drift classes, performing the high-speed sideways action which has made Drifting the fastest growing form of motorsport in the world.

The Drift Supercup remains Australia’s richest Drift competition, and a record number of cars from across the country are expected to compete for a share of the $12,000 prize, including $5,000 for the Pro Class winner.

Organisers are looking forward to how this year’s Drift Supercup will shape up. Along with the Drift action, there will be a host of other track activities to entertain the crowds including Autosport Time Attack for circuit racers and an extreme motorcycle stunt show.

Saturday evening will also feature a U-Pull-It ‘Thrash for Cash’ burnout competition with a $1500 prize for the winner.
