THE LATEST FORD RANGER AVAILABLE FROM MID-JULY IN MALAYSIA

Sime Darby Auto Connexion, Malaysian distributor for Ford vehicles, will introduce the latest and popular Ford Ranger that is available in two variants; Ranger Double Cab 4x2 and Ranger Single Cab 4x4 both powered by a Turbo Diesel with Intercooler (TDi) engine paired with a manual transmission, from mid-July onwards.
Both variants come with a 2.5L TDi Engine, churning out 109PS at 3,500RPM and 257Nm of torque at 2,000RPM. The powerplants are also Biofuel (Metyl Ester 5%) compatible.
The Rangers exterior features a new distinct and muscular design; including a signature horizontal three-bar grille, wrap-around stylish headlamp, new design front bumper, and a raised hood that defines its 'Tough Style'.
In the safety and security department, the Rangers is equipped with all-wheel Brake assist, 3-point ELR seat belts, robust body construction with door side intrusion beam, and keyless entry with Immobilizer and Passive Anti Theft System (PATS). Moreover, both versions are incorporated with its rigid cage body frame for a safe and secure cocoon that encapsulates and protects the driver and passengers in the event of a collision. The ladder chassis frame gives both vehicles its work horse capabilities on road for loads up to 1 tonne and rigidity for off road use and towing capability.
Both variants come equipped with the proven ball and nut type steering system to be responsive and robust specially designed for pick-up trucks with heavy duty use. Both come with Limited Slip Differential (LSD) that acts as a semi traction control system to handle hard manoeuvres in bends and off road terrains. The large diameter shock absorbers, front wishbone and rear rigid leaf springs gives customers car-like ride and handling.
The Ford Ranger Double Cab TDi 4X2 XL comes with an introductory price of RM 59,888 while the Ford Ranger Single Cab TDi 4X4 is priced at RM 62,888. Prices quoted are excluding registration, insurance, road tax and for Peninsula
