MAZDA2 90th ANNIVERSARY EDITION FEATURES A ZESTY APPEAL

As part of celebrations marking its 90th anniversary, Mazda Motor Corporation has released a special edition of the Mazda2 or Demio (as it is known in the land of the rising sun) in Japan. The Mazda2 was introduced in Malaysia in April this year by Prima Merdu and Bermaz Motor, franchise holders and distributors of Mazda vehicles in Malaysia.

The popular Mazda compact car is not only a favorite in Japan, but has been gaining quite a bit of positive response from the Malaysian motorists as well as encouraging reviews from the media.

As with its recent 90th Anniversary initiatives, Mazda Motor Corporation is embarking on an update or upgrade on its best selling line-ups which the latest being the Mazda2.

The Mazda2 90th Anniversary edition also known as the Mazda2 13C-V HID (High-Intensity discharge headlights) is based on the Demio 13C-V model grade that features a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and achieves eco-friendly fuel economy of 23.0 kilometers per liter (Japan testing).

The 13C-V describes the variant as a FWD-type and incorporates a Miller-cycle engine plus CVT.  It is loaded with extra exterior features and special equipment, comprising auto-leveling headlights function, much like to the Mazda3 2.0L and Mazda6, unique front fog lights, dark tinted windows and up 11 color options.

With its rear doors and tailgate tinted windows, the car has an improved overall outlook and the comfort for rear passengers are most definitely imminent. This 90th Anniversary variant  has more color options compared to the base model which include an exclusive Copper Red Mica color, but the color will only be available from September onwards.

Affordably priced and well positioned, the Mazda2 90th Anniversary edition is retailing for 1,330,000 Yen with tax.
