Following its recent debut at the 2010 Paris Motor show, the Honda Jazz hybrid variant has begun its sales phase in Japan. Japanese will get the Jazz hybrid along with the refreshed Jazz model at their friendly Honda showrooms soon enough.

The Jazz lineup has been known for unique features that include a spacious cabin made possible by highly-efficient packaging technologies that leverage Honda's innovative center tank layout, flexible seating configurations, and excellent fuel economy.

The refreshed Jazz variant has received further improvements in terms of fuel economy and comes in three types; the 13 G/13 L,15 X type and the RS. With the basic 1.3, you get an improved exterior design which contributes to the reduction of air resistance and improvement of fuel economy. The 15 X type offers an even more exclusive exterior which features chrome-plated front grille and rear license plate garnish. In addition, its interior adopts brown-toned seat color and surface material, chrome-plated trim and highly-luminous metallic color painted panels. Last but not least, the Sporty RS is fitted with enhanced sporty image on the outside and inside, and its interior is highlighted by the black and orange seat surface material and a leather-wrapped sports-type steering wheel. Drive-wise, the RS provides dynamic driving pleasure thanks to special suspensions, EPS, exhaust system, a 6-speed manual transmission, and for the first time, paddle shifters. Additionally, there is now a rotating front passenger seat for ease of access.

The all-new Fit Hybrid emphasizes  an "advanced and clean" concept on the outside, more obviously with its headlights and painted or plated front-grille. Interior is not compromised, featuring a special interior panel painted in champagne metallic color as well as ambient meters unique to a hybrid model. Of course, the main element with the Jazz Hybrid remains its  powertrain with the combination of a 1.3-liter i-VTEC engine and compact and lightweight IMA (Integrated Motor Assist). It is said that the Hybrid could achieve a fuel economy of 30km/liter without sacrificing driving dynamics. Other features include; Eco Assist (Ecological Drive Assist System) and optional Honda HDD Inter-navi system.

Available in a total of 10 colors and two interiors color options, the refreshed Jazz and Hybrid variant should be a hit in Japan.
